Keynote Speaker: Kevin Mulcahy, U.S. Assistant Attorney

“Mr. Mulcahy brings a unique perspective in that he speaks to his personal childhood abuse experience, and also how that shapes his practice in prosecuting child abuse cases today. His story is compelling; it evokes pain and sadness but also hope and inspiration, which is reflective of the cases we work every day. As a professional in the child abuse field, I left feeling emboldened to continue the fight to do right by our kids.” Patrice Odle, LMSW, Director of Client Services

Kevin Mulcahy serves as the Executive Assistant U.S. Attorney in Detroit.  Throughout his career, his caseload has focused on child exploitation crimes, including production of child pornography cases, traveler cases, and other significant crimes against children prosecutions.

Kevin is also a survivor of child sexual abuse. Join us as he addresses lessons learned from his own case by combining his experience both as a victim and a long-time prosecutor of child exploitation cases.

Kevin obtained his undergraduate degree in Statistics and American Culture from the University of Michigan and his JD from Santa Clara School of Law, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Santa Clara Law Review.  He has 3 kids, 2 cats, and a very nice wife.
