Our family advocacy team is committed to guiding and educating families through each step of the investigation, prosecution and healing process. They also provide resources to the family.

Ensuring Needs Are Met

In many cases, the perpetrator is the sole breadwinner of the household, and their removal can leave the family in a financial crisis. CACDC provides these families with emergency resources, ranging from food, toiletries and clothes. Our family advocates will also refer families to other community resources and assist with filing Crime Victim’s Compensation

Seasonal Assistance Drives

Our family advocate team also coordinates three seasonal assistance drives—Back to School, Thanksgiving and Christmas—to provide families the opportunity to have the holiday experience they deserve.
