When a child enters the Forensic Interview Room to tell their story to our specially trained staff interviewer, the closed door prompts an overhead light in the hallway to flash blue. This signals all staff members that an interview is in progress, but, more importantly, that a child is beginning their journey to healing and justice.

When this light shines down our hallways, we know a child is finally getting to tell their story of abuse. We call this the Blue Light Moment.
