Children’s Advocacy Center for Denton County is a non-profit organization that coordinates the investigation of child abuse in a collaborative, child-friendly environment. A team of experts that includes the Advocacy Center’s forensic interviewers and family advocates, along with law enforcement, Child Protective Services and prosecutors work together on the investigation. The Advocacy Center’s clinical team assists victims and their families with extensive therapy services to heal the wounds of trauma. The organization also provides child abuse prevention education throughout the community to teach adults who work with children how to recognize and report child abuse.

The Advocacy Center’s family advocate team is committed to guiding and educating each family through the complex systems that it enters when an outcry is made.
